Camping

So this Memorial Weekend, Josh and I went camping with my Dad on Boulder Mountain in Central Utah. So on Saturday, we had to wake up and be on the road by 4am because Josh had to be down in Leeds, Utah by 9am to teach a Pyro Class to their Fire Department. Then we made a trip to Brianhead to drop off a load of fireworks to their Fire Department. Then, we were on our way to meet up with my dad on Boulder Mountain. Josh had to rely on my not so good direction giving to try to find where my dad was, but we found him driving around on the 4 wheeler around 6pm. So we had an awesome time. Josh was really excited that my dad let him hold onto his gun during our all day 4-wheeling drive on Sunday. We drove all around on Sunday, and poor Makaila, Josh's funny dog, was not having a fun time. This was Makaila's first camping trip, and we learned that she is a City Gal. She's all tough here at the house, but take her to the "Great Outdoors" and she is so scared. I slowly became her protector because I was the only one not shooting a gun. We took her along on our ride and Josh had to hold her for most of the time(I wish I would've taken a picture!) because she wouldn't be able to keep up with us, but by the end of the day she would hide from Josh because she was so tired of riding on the 4-wheeler. Thanks to the Josh's Boss, Ken, for letting us use his truck and 4-wheeler, and thanks to my Dad for letting us hang out with him over the weekend.
Here is a selfer of me and my crooked sunglasses. And the other is my Dad and Josh (posing) fixing the 4-wheeler.

Good Times

For those of you that don't know, Josh works for Lantis Fireworks and Lasers. His job has had a lot of perks and we've experienced a lot of things together, when he's let me tag along. My favorite things to go with Josh to are the High School Events, ie Homecoming, Dances. Josh has worked with Kearns HS for a couple of years now and he loves them. They're always to gratful for what he does for them and their Advisor, Bob, likes working with Josh. I think he gets along with the High Schoolers so well because he's a kid at heart. He loved high school so much at Jordan that I think he just wants to make sure they have a good experience too. Anyway, they invited us to be a guest to their Senior Dinner Dance at the Gathering Place at Gardner Village. Which happens to be the place where Josh and I were married last January. So it was fun to go and reminise about our wedding day and back to our High School days. We didn't stay for the dance portion but we did walk around and see where Josh proposed and stuff. Then classic Josh and Ashley, we went back to our house and decided to veg out and watch a movie from On Demand. We're so crazy. Go Riverton Silverwolves! And I just so Josh is represented . . . Go Jordan Beetdiggers!

Love this Duffy Gal

I just wanted to share how much I LOVE this new artist. Her name is Duffy. At first when I heard her name, I thought it was Hilary Duff trying a new name like Puffy Sean Diddy Combs, or whatever his name is. But she is from the UK (I think). But I love her music. It's like Amy Whinehouse, but w/o the swear words, and a bit of the 50s/60s music influence. I don't think I've listened to anything else when I'm at home or in my car. My computer skills basically are non existent when trying to post a video. So you can just go to her MySpace page if you would like to check her out. It is: http://www.myspace.com/duffymyspace.

Beckham

I just wanted to blog a bit about how Real SL played against the LA Galaxy, the team that David Beckham is on. I will admit, I was excited to see David Beckham. One, cuz he is good looking and two, because he was probably better looking in person. No really though, it was a good game and it was very cool to see Beckham take his signature shot. A Penalty Kick where the movie title, "Bend It Like Beckham," comes into mind. You almost couldn't be mad seeing him make the two goals that tied the game, because it was David Beckham making those goals. Quick story, the second half of the game, Beckham was running back and forth right in front of our seats, there was a pause in the game so he was in front of us for a good 5 minutes. I swear he was posing for us, so I bent down to get my camera out of my purse and then the crowd started to scream (mostly girls). I looked up and missed whatever they were getting hot and bothered over. I guess he had reached up his shorts to fix his jock strap and showed his cheek, and I totally missed it. I took a lot of pictures trying to get a good one for the blog, but my camera isn't the greatest, this is the best I can do. Also, the other is my hot husband cheering after one of the goals made by Real.

Last Girls' Night Out

So last Friday, McCall and I drove up to Logan to have one last hang out night with Cassie before the Campbell's big move to Las Vegas, sniff sniff. With Cassie leaving, it just makes me wish I would've done more things with her! But I'm excited for her big move. So this is just a picture of us documenting our good times that night. Eating at the Bluebird, driving around Logan reminising (sp) about when we were roommates Freshman Year. It was fun. Then we watched a classic Chick Flick, "27 Dresses." Which I've been wanting to see! PS, I really am not very good at taking self portraits. This is a formal apology to McCall for cutting half her head out of the picture! It kinda looks like me and a couple of floating heads in the background if you look at it right. Hee hee. Now I'm rambling. Anyway, Viva Las Vegas!
