San Diego Fun

So Josh and I went to San Diego a couple of weekends ago to celebrate two things. One being our one year anniversary. The other being our last Hurrah of being a childless couple. We wanted to go on vacation without having to pack a child one last time. It rained on us just about the whole time while we were there. That meant that my hair was pretty much unmanagable, so I had to have top ramen hair :) We decided that it would be an awesome experience to go Whale Watching. I get motion sick very easily but I had taken a Dramamin that morning to be prepared. I had taken this picture of the Seasickness Bags on the boat thinking it was pretty funny. It was a nice ride while we were in the harbor and Josh and me were taking a few pictures and having a good ol' time. But then we hit the open water and I was a goner. For about two thirds of the 3 1/2 hour boat trip I was horribly sick. Some volunteer whale watchers were even trying to get me to look at the whales but I ignored them. I didn't realize that having another human being rolling around in my stomach combined with my motion sickness was a lethal combination. Horrible. Josh then got sick as well and we were quite a pair for the boat employees. It's hilarious now but at one point during the ride I started crying because I was angry the captian wouldn't turn the boat around because I was puking my intestines out. We both just got to the point of trying to survive.
Anyway, we were able to redeem the trip by going to the zoo while it poured. The rain wasn't so bad because the crowds were small and the animals were out. The San Diego Zoo is pretty cool. I was trying to get a pic of the animal behind Josh. I can't quite tell if it worked :)This is the only picture of me during the trip. Good Times.
It was a great trip, we stayed at an awesome resort and ate some good food. I love San Diego.
I really appreciate my husband. I've become some crazy emotional lady since I've become pregnant and Josh has been so great. I can't believe that he still wants to hang around me after being married for a year. Love you Josh!

It's a Boy!!

So, I have to admit, I was pretty positive that Josh and I were going to have a girl so I was pretty shocked when I saw that little extremity :) Josh had his hands in the air with excitement when we saw it. What was the coolest experience for me though was to watch the ultrasound. To be able to see his little face and his little bum and hands and feet. So crazy. The office gave us a DVD of it so we've been playing it to our families. Josh usually sits right up in front of the TV to point out every little thing, he is so excited. I'm so excited too I promise. As the day has gone by, I am thinking about the baby's room and all of the clothes and toys and the things we'll teach him.
I made the Doctor double check to make sure that it was a boy, and she said, "See that, well it's not a third leg." So hilarious. Josh thinks that that meant that he's well endowed :) Once we scan the ultrasounds I'll post them. But I just wanted to announce it to those that see our blog.
PS, I just want to say also congrats to my old roommate, McCall and her husband, Bones, their little boy, Aiden John, was born on Sunday.

I'm Back!!!

So I thought I would post a little something since I just noticed that I haven't posted anything for 2 months. For those of you who have been hasseling me about not posting anything, you're welcome.
After our Chicago Trip, we went to Hawaii with the Jorgensen Fam. PS, we are not rich, it just worked out that these two trips were right next to one another. So Hawaii was way fun, especially when I was the only one who hadn't been there before so everyone took me to the places that were the super coolest. And it was my birthday during the trip, so that was a sweet present by itself. I am not going to post pics because I'm at a place where I don't have access to them. So maybe in two more months I'll post those pics. And I would like to live in Hawaii.

After Chicago and Hawaii, and inbetween lazy days, busy days and family days. Josh and I were looking forward to Thanksgiving and it was fun as usual. First we went over to my aunt's house to eat. I don't know how it works out this way everytime, but the cousins that don't have kids always seem to end up watching all of the little kids. Why is that? But regardless, it's still fun because I wish I was a little kid at times.
Then Josh and I went over to his Grandma's house. Aunt Sue from St. Louis was in town and it was good to see her. Josh and I sat and talked with her, Donna(Josh's Mom) and Grandma Wesley for hours that night. I have to admit, I am a bit intimidated by Aunt Sue but she is a very neat person and being able to see her in a different light in Chicago was very cool.

King Christmas came next which is always fun. Grandma King made awesome scrapbooks for each girl there at the party that depicted us growing up. Love it and hate it because I have had some major growing pains and I think I'm still going through the akward stage by the looks of some of the pictures. :)

So I know this post is boring because there are no pictures. I have to admit I'm not a fan of long posts without pictures because I read most of the blogs during work when I shouldn't be, so I need pictures to remind me where I left off between people coming in.
Oh, by the way, we're pregnant and due June 18th!
