I'm Back!!!

So I thought I would post a little something since I just noticed that I haven't posted anything for 2 months. For those of you who have been hasseling me about not posting anything, you're welcome.
After our Chicago Trip, we went to Hawaii with the Jorgensen Fam. PS, we are not rich, it just worked out that these two trips were right next to one another. So Hawaii was way fun, especially when I was the only one who hadn't been there before so everyone took me to the places that were the super coolest. And it was my birthday during the trip, so that was a sweet present by itself. I am not going to post pics because I'm at a place where I don't have access to them. So maybe in two more months I'll post those pics. And I would like to live in Hawaii.

After Chicago and Hawaii, and inbetween lazy days, busy days and family days. Josh and I were looking forward to Thanksgiving and it was fun as usual. First we went over to my aunt's house to eat. I don't know how it works out this way everytime, but the cousins that don't have kids always seem to end up watching all of the little kids. Why is that? But regardless, it's still fun because I wish I was a little kid at times.
Then Josh and I went over to his Grandma's house. Aunt Sue from St. Louis was in town and it was good to see her. Josh and I sat and talked with her, Donna(Josh's Mom) and Grandma Wesley for hours that night. I have to admit, I am a bit intimidated by Aunt Sue but she is a very neat person and being able to see her in a different light in Chicago was very cool.

King Christmas came next which is always fun. Grandma King made awesome scrapbooks for each girl there at the party that depicted us growing up. Love it and hate it because I have had some major growing pains and I think I'm still going through the akward stage by the looks of some of the pictures. :)

So I know this post is boring because there are no pictures. I have to admit I'm not a fan of long posts without pictures because I read most of the blogs during work when I shouldn't be, so I need pictures to remind me where I left off between people coming in.
Oh, by the way, we're pregnant and due June 18th!

Chicago Fun

So here are some pics from our Chicago trip. It was super fun. It rained basically the whole time, but it was still fun, at least it wasn't really hot. The reason we went was for Josh's cousin's, Laura's, wedding. It was AMAZING. It was at the Drake Hotel and everyone stayed at the Knickerbocker across the street. All of the cousins went out on the town on Friday night and we all went to a Chicago Blues Club which was so cool. Of course we had to sample some famous Chicago Style Pizza . . . twice. So good, I'm totally hooked and wishing we had some authentic Chicago Style Pizza right now. So much fun and we can't wait to go again.

Here's Josh and I standing in Downtown Chicago.

We went a couple of days early with Matt & Rachel so we could sight see. This is us hitting up an Irish Pub across the street from our Hotel. Here's the famous "Bean."
Rachel and I wanted to make sure we took pictures of everything. I think Josh and Matt were getting a bit tired of it. :)
Here's the Jorgensen Family :)
Here is a selfer of us before the ceremony. (Notice the Bunny Ears) Josh and I like this pic the best of us, even with the extra ears.

Funny Women

So Josh needed some help to shoot some confetti canons at the Stampin' Up! Conference Saturday afternoon. So Josh, Marc, Matt, Rachel, me and Kristen all drove up to Salt Lake to the Salt Palace to work for a couple of hours to stand and wait to shoot these huge confetti canons. So while standing there, we're watching the end of the 3-day conference. Can I just say that the Stampin' Up Ladies that were packed into this huge Conference Room were so crazy. Stampin Up! really knows how to entertain, let me tell ya. They would give away prizes about every 15 minutes and these women would FREAK out and jump up and down and scream and run around with thier hands in the air. So hilarious. I felt like I was watching a clip from Oprah when she does her Favorite Things Episode. It was really fun. I just wanted to share. PS, this picture is from the Oprah Show, not from Stampin' Up!

Gephart Video

I keep forgetting to post this video on our blog. On the 24th, the "Get Gephardt" guy was at the SL Bee's interviewing the Josh and the Pyro crew there asking questions about what goes into putting on a Fireworks Show. Below is the sight of the video for it. It's pretty funny. The video is on the right side of the page and down a bit on the page. Check it out!

Holy Crap

So on Sunday Josh and I put up for sale our old Refrigerator and Josh's boat on KSL.com. And both sold within the day! And I'm still getting calls even though I've marked them as sold. Isn't that crazy. Josh and I are now thinking about selling our first born, we'll let you know how that pans out ;)

Refrigerator For Sale

Hey Everyone! Josh and I are selling our old refrigerator fro $90! It's a white GE Fridge and it is in good condition and still works great. Let me know if you or anyone you know is interested. Below are some pictures.

Lagoon Fun

Josh and I went to Lagoon last week, it was way fun. Going to Lagoon made me realize that I have become the biggest baby when it comes to roller coasters. I am so scared of going on them because I get motion sickness so easily. I'm even getting motion sickness sitting in the front seat of a car. It is getting ridiculous. Anyways, Josh and I wanted to get an Old Western Picture done. So since we don't have a scanner, I just took a picture of it so sorry about the picture quality. It was so hard for me to be serious with everyone watching. It was fun.

4th of July

So here are some pics from the 4th of July. We all went to the West Jordan Fireworks on the 4th because that was where Josh was going to be and it was one of the biggest shows on the 4th in the valley. This was thee first show that Josh was able to sit with me and actually watch one of his shows. It was fun. My little sister, Kristen, was with me too. Below are some pics.

Bathroom Fun

So here are pics of our bathroom. It's actually been done for quite awhile now, I just kept forgetting to post about it. The only thing that is still missing is me installing the hand towel holder, which I have to admit I keep putting off because it took so long for me to install the towel rack. And we also still have to put the doors on the vanity. Josh and his BFF, Scotty, did a really good job on the tiling, it looks really good.

Never See

So Josh and I just got done watching the movie, "The Ruins." Don't ever watch it. It even made me queezy. This group of kids go on vacation to Mexico, they meet this stranger from Mexico and he tells them about this archeological dig his brother is on with his girlfriend. Hello!, Stranger Danger!!!! So they get to this temple ruin and as soon as they get there, a guy is shot and killed by the locals because he touched the vines growing on the temple ruin. And then the locals force the rest of the 5 kids to the top of the temple and just wait around it to make sure they don't get off. So if you're hurt on the temple, the vines attacked and consume your body and can make noises to mimic the noises that are made to trick you. So really, it's an uplifting movie that the whole family should enjoy.

FRUSTRATION!

I'm taking a break right now. It took me 45 minutes to hang up this stupid towel rack. I'm just lucky that I only had to drill the holes once and I didn't have to start all over. Now I just have a hand towel rack and the toilet paper rack and I'm set. So I'll be done in about 2 hours.

Summer Day

On Saturday, Josh and me started our day off by trying to catch Maikaila, our dog, in the act of getting out of the backyard and wandering the streets of WJ. She's been eating her way through our chain link fence and making a little space where she can shimmy through! What a crazy dog. So Josh and I would act like we were leaving and drive away so she would see that we were gone and then we would come back and hide and wait to catch her. It took a good 45 minutes and catching her three times and Maikaila still doesn't care. She just wants to go with her Master Josh. After that we went to IKEA to get some stuff for our bathroom, that's always a good time.

Then we went to East Haven Rodeo. Josh was doing a show there so a bunch of us went to the Rodeo. There was Matt, Rachel, Scott (Rachel's Brother) and his wife, Nosomi (sorry if I mispelled her name!) and Nick and his wife, Mandy (Nick works with Josh and Matt). A little girl gave Rachel a frisbee so we played around with that for awhile. Here are some pictures of Matt and Scott "freestylin" in East Haven, not to be confused with "West Haven."

Josh has had KJZZ's filming crew following him around for the past couple of days and a camera man was there last night to film the fireworks. They told Josh that they were going to put it in all of Larry H. Miller's Movie Complexes and play it before the movies start. So that's exciting! Here are a few fireworks pics that I took last night.

Bathroom Fun

So we are remodeling our bathroom, good times. Here are a bunch of pics of before and of Josh tearing out the flooring. I'm not going to post any pics of it yet until we're done.

Camping

So this Memorial Weekend, Josh and I went camping with my Dad on Boulder Mountain in Central Utah. So on Saturday, we had to wake up and be on the road by 4am because Josh had to be down in Leeds, Utah by 9am to teach a Pyro Class to their Fire Department. Then we made a trip to Brianhead to drop off a load of fireworks to their Fire Department. Then, we were on our way to meet up with my dad on Boulder Mountain. Josh had to rely on my not so good direction giving to try to find where my dad was, but we found him driving around on the 4 wheeler around 6pm. So we had an awesome time. Josh was really excited that my dad let him hold onto his gun during our all day 4-wheeling drive on Sunday. We drove all around on Sunday, and poor Makaila, Josh's funny dog, was not having a fun time. This was Makaila's first camping trip, and we learned that she is a City Gal. She's all tough here at the house, but take her to the "Great Outdoors" and she is so scared. I slowly became her protector because I was the only one not shooting a gun. We took her along on our ride and Josh had to hold her for most of the time(I wish I would've taken a picture!) because she wouldn't be able to keep up with us, but by the end of the day she would hide from Josh because she was so tired of riding on the 4-wheeler. Thanks to the Josh's Boss, Ken, for letting us use his truck and 4-wheeler, and thanks to my Dad for letting us hang out with him over the weekend.
Here is a selfer of me and my crooked sunglasses. And the other is my Dad and Josh (posing) fixing the 4-wheeler.

Good Times

For those of you that don't know, Josh works for Lantis Fireworks and Lasers. His job has had a lot of perks and we've experienced a lot of things together, when he's let me tag along. My favorite things to go with Josh to are the High School Events, ie Homecoming, Dances. Josh has worked with Kearns HS for a couple of years now and he loves them. They're always to gratful for what he does for them and their Advisor, Bob, likes working with Josh. I think he gets along with the High Schoolers so well because he's a kid at heart. He loved high school so much at Jordan that I think he just wants to make sure they have a good experience too. Anyway, they invited us to be a guest to their Senior Dinner Dance at the Gathering Place at Gardner Village. Which happens to be the place where Josh and I were married last January. So it was fun to go and reminise about our wedding day and back to our High School days. We didn't stay for the dance portion but we did walk around and see where Josh proposed and stuff. Then classic Josh and Ashley, we went back to our house and decided to veg out and watch a movie from On Demand. We're so crazy. Go Riverton Silverwolves! And I just so Josh is represented . . . Go Jordan Beetdiggers!

Love this Duffy Gal

I just wanted to share how much I LOVE this new artist. Her name is Duffy. At first when I heard her name, I thought it was Hilary Duff trying a new name like Puffy Sean Diddy Combs, or whatever his name is. But she is from the UK (I think). But I love her music. It's like Amy Whinehouse, but w/o the swear words, and a bit of the 50s/60s music influence. I don't think I've listened to anything else when I'm at home or in my car. My computer skills basically are non existent when trying to post a video. So you can just go to her MySpace page if you would like to check her out. It is: http://www.myspace.com/duffymyspace.

Beckham

I just wanted to blog a bit about how Real SL played against the LA Galaxy, the team that David Beckham is on. I will admit, I was excited to see David Beckham. One, cuz he is good looking and two, because he was probably better looking in person. No really though, it was a good game and it was very cool to see Beckham take his signature shot. A Penalty Kick where the movie title, "Bend It Like Beckham," comes into mind. You almost couldn't be mad seeing him make the two goals that tied the game, because it was David Beckham making those goals. Quick story, the second half of the game, Beckham was running back and forth right in front of our seats, there was a pause in the game so he was in front of us for a good 5 minutes. I swear he was posing for us, so I bent down to get my camera out of my purse and then the crowd started to scream (mostly girls). I looked up and missed whatever they were getting hot and bothered over. I guess he had reached up his shorts to fix his jock strap and showed his cheek, and I totally missed it. I took a lot of pictures trying to get a good one for the blog, but my camera isn't the greatest, this is the best I can do. Also, the other is my hot husband cheering after one of the goals made by Real.

Last Girls' Night Out

So last Friday, McCall and I drove up to Logan to have one last hang out night with Cassie before the Campbell's big move to Las Vegas, sniff sniff. With Cassie leaving, it just makes me wish I would've done more things with her! But I'm excited for her big move. So this is just a picture of us documenting our good times that night. Eating at the Bluebird, driving around Logan reminising (sp) about when we were roommates Freshman Year. It was fun. Then we watched a classic Chick Flick, "27 Dresses." Which I've been wanting to see! PS, I really am not very good at taking self portraits. This is a formal apology to McCall for cutting half her head out of the picture! It kinda looks like me and a couple of floating heads in the background if you look at it right. Hee hee. Now I'm rambling. Anyway, Viva Las Vegas!

Award Winning Picture

This Picture was taken by my sister, Kristen. She submitted this and another one to the Riverton High School Arts Competition (I think that's what it is called). And this one got First Place in Colored Photo. Congrats Kristen!

Josh Photo by Kristen Warner

So this picture was created and by my little sista, Kristen. She is very talented with the camera. I think Kristen thought that Josh wouldn't like what she did to his face, but Josh loves it. I need to print this out for him. Kristen has submitted a few of her pictures to contests here and there and has gotten a fair amount of recognition. I just wanted to hand out a compliment to Kristen. Check out her Flcker page if you want.

Tuesday, April 15, 2008

So, Cassie informed me that I am slacking on my blogging responsibilities, so I decided to take a little quiz from web.tickle.com and post my findings. It is this weird site that has nothing but random quizzes and surveys for you to take. So I took one on what kind of cake I should bake. So with some help from Betty Crocker, they decided that I wanted to bake a Red Velvet Cake. Now, being 11 o'clock at night, I don't really feel like baking a cake right now. But now looking at the picture of it while I'm typing this up, I know it's all that I'll be dreaming about. Maybe I'll make it when I get motivated and when I need a little excitement in my life, as it states below. Who knew that Red Velvet Cake was so daring.

Ashley, you should make a Red Velvet Cake
Decadent, tasty, and just a bit sinful (and we aren't just talking about the cake!), you should definitely get fork-deep in a delicious red velvet cake. Who doesn't love that idea? It's true that many people haven't tried it, but who better than you to introduce them to this truly tasty dessert? Though it's an especially popular dessert in the South, everyone is a potential fan, right? We know you don't always take the biggest risks, but this is your chance to try something new. So leave those boring vanilla cakes and safe bets to the people who aren't looking for a little excitement in their lives, and turn on the color tonight! We guarantee you'll fall in love.

"Old Couple"

So on Monday we went to the Jazz/Wizards game. My mom got tickets for the married children (sorry Kristen!). So we all met up at the SkyBox. When Josh and I walked it we told the Host that we're meeting up with my family and some were probably already there. First thing out of his mouth was, "Is it an older couple?" And we said, "Ya, really old." Just kidding, but the Host really did ask that and pointed us right to where my Mom and Dad were sitting. Hilarious. I think it's my Dad's white hair and my Mom's cane that she uses. Well, she doesn't really use a cane, but she gets Charlie Horses really bad and probably needs one at times. Anyway, good stuff. Also, today is April Fool's Day and I didn't know what I was going to do to Josh. But at work during lunch I called him telling him that my debit card was stolen and someone had used it at Gateway last night and had already spent like $600. I got him pretty good until my sister-in-law told them that it was probably April Fools. I could've had it going for longer too but I didn't know how I could keep it going without laughing. Love you Josh!

REAL Game

So on Saturday we went to the Season Opener for the Salt Lake REAL Soccer Team. Josh's Boss is very nice in letting us use his season tickets. I've never been into soccer but being around Josh and his family, you can't help but get into the game and the players. Saturday we played against the Chicago Fire where they have the "Beckham of Mexico," called Blanco. The stadium was packed with Chicago supporters all because of Blanco. Seemed like everyone from the Hispanic community came out just to see him play. Everytime he passed the ball the crowd would scream for him. So, of course he made the goal that tied the game and everyone went crazy. It was fun though. I've found a new love for Kyle Beckerman, I love him and his dreads. He plays for REAL and I think the only reason why I like him is because we saw him at Gateway last year. :) Earlier on Saturday, Josh and is bro Matt went and got the refrigorator from my parents house that my parents were so nice to let us have. As Josh colorfully puts it, "The fridge weighed an ass load." It took them a good half hour just getting it up the stairs. I watched from above the stairs trying to keep my mouth shut and not be a pest. Finally we got it up the stairs. Josh says now the fridge will have rot in this house, never to be moved again. Basically, it's going to be sold with the house.

Makaila's Birthday

Makaila's birthday is coming up on May 14th. If you would like to give a gift, she loves cash donations or checks made out to Josh Jorgensen (she doesn't have a bank account, so I will cash it for her). Happy birthday Makaila!

We are having babies!

Here at work we are having lots of little animal babies. Here are two of the many. The puppy's name is Kona and he has a twin sister Hilo. Here is a picture of me holding our baby Emu. Matt named it wormy. It will probably grow up to be a jerk like its parents. Anyways, if you took a double take at the head line, well, I wanted to keep you guessing.

In response to the "Fright Night Comment from Cassie"

If Ashley brought her spirits with, I'm moving out. Now you mention it, I do get a little spooked when I go downstairs by myself. Makaila is always sent first. Maybe I'm just used to being scared by Ashley when I come around a corner.

Easter Fright Night

So, Sunday night, Josh and I are both ready for bed and Josh was chatting it up with his BFF, Scotty. When we heard a noise in the house like something was moving in the house. Makaila even heard it and started running in the house barking. So Josh hung up on Scotty and we both just sat there listening. So Josh grabbed this baseball bat, he put behind our door as a joke when I first moved in, and went searching through the house with Makaila and bat in hand. He came back to the room w/o finding anything. So us trying to go to bed early was basically shot since we both laid in bed just listening to every little noise. Very sleepless night. Next morning Josh was getting ready and he found what made "the noise." It was his Carhart's that had fallen off a hanger and rubbed against the closet door! I love that we freaked ourselves out so bad over that!

Easter Fun

So here we are, almost done with March and I think Josh and me have done more in the past two days compared with the whole month! On Saturday we went down to Grandma King's house to have some Easter fun. Josh and I could hardly eat anything because we're doing the first two weeks of the South Beach Diet right now which means no carbs or sugars. Talk about tough with all the candy around! But it was fun to see everyone and the kids hunting for Easter eggs. Part of me wanted to join them for sure. Sunday we went to church and hung out at the Jorgensen's (Lamar & Donna's). Lamar made the best impromptu breakfast and we all enjoyed it outside! It was such a nice day. The pic is of some of us at Grandma Wesley's house eating more food of course. I have to admit, I did break down and have a piece of carrot cake, but it was so worth it. Now that I have that sugar in my system, all I want is sugar now! So ridiculii (new word made by me). Anyway, Happy Easter Everyone!

Reply to Playlist Comments by my Husband

Don't let Josh's remarks about the playlist fool you. These are his favorite songs that he listens to the majority of the time. Especially Hanna Montana. He loves to watch her show every Saturday morning and if he can catch it on the Disney Channel. Also, closet Wham! lover. ;)

Wham! Too????

Why Wham! ?

Quick Survey

Does your spouse/significant other pour cold water on you in the shower?

Do they scare you when you have a steaming hot drink in your hand and it spills covering your hand?

When you come up the stairs, do you send your dog first to seek out the person around the corner?

Do you have a automatic flench reflex covering your crouch when your just sitting on the couch?

Just asking questions, not a big deal, just wondering whats normal and whats not...

Thanks, Josh

Why do we have Hanna Montana.....

Just wondering why we have Hanna Montana on our "playlist."
Thanks for answering when I get home tonight......
Josh

Newly Weds

Hi Everyone~

This is the first entry for us on our new Blog. So we thought we'd hop on the bandwagon and make one and try it out and see we if we keep it up :) I'm going to write a para and then Josh will be next. Happy reading!

This first month of marriage has been very fun. One thing that not a lot of people may know is that Josh is a clean freak. I knew this but I didn't realize how irritating it could be ;) (Love you Babe!) In the first week I caught him cleaning up after me, basically following me around the house. Lately Josh and I have been decorating the house and it seems like we're done. Who knew that Josh had some Queer Eye in him. Everyday he moves around our little knick knacks to try to get them to all "work" together. I've got it pretty good so far. I have a husband that cleans after me and cooks for me and makes me my lunch for work. Ah, what a hard life I lead . .

What long month it has been, who knew that Ash was so messy. She will not allow me to read what she just wrote, so I am just telling the truth. Last night we went to see Angels and Airwaves, best concert ever. i may be prejudice, but eat it if you think otherwise. Ashley was a little wary, but after the 3 hours in line waiting for the doors to open and the gross people making out behind us, she is now hooked on my style of music and she won't "accidently" change what is playing on my ipod. But i did have another one of those "my wife is the coolest"moments, Ashley stuck out 6 hours on her feet and a smokey club so that I could see my favorite band. I do enjoy making dinner and making her lunch, I guess she really deserves it after dealing with me............
