Holy House

Help! I think Josh's dog, Makaila, is going crazy.
We don't know what to do. When she is home alone, she digs holes . . . into our walls. She has never done this before until two summers ago and she has been working on this hole here.Isn't it pretty

I'm afraid that this coming summer she will tear through the other side and we'll find her in our garage one day when we come home.
Back story . . .
We've had to close her doggy door to the outside world because she would tear open our chain link fence and get out. Yes, she would tear through metal fencing which has totally ruined her teeth. We think she would try to find Josh because she couldn't handle being left behind. One night she got out as usual but we could not find her for a week until our next door neighbor found her running along the street three blocks away from our neighborhood. So now to make sure Makaila stays around, she is a prisoner in our home. But really, I don't think she minds as long as she is with Josh, her master. My theory is that she has separation anxiety from Josh. But these episodes don't happen all of the time, it comes and goes, it is so weird. Then, I get home today from work, and she has started to rip up the molding outside our bedroom door.
Yes, that is blood smudged around it

We don't understand what is going on with her. Any suggestions would be fantastic!

Southern Utah Extravaganza

We went down to Southern Utah this past weekend to relax and to get out of town. But we should have realized that Jack was going to be a pill during the trip right from the beginning. The first sign was when we were going down the road to get on the freeway. Josh and Jack had picked me up from work and we were heading straight to St. George from there. I reached back and gave my child a ritz cracker bite and he started to gag a bit. Well that gagging led to him puking out the mass amounts of apple juice (which he loves) he just guzzled down on the car ride over to pick me up. It was ALL over. Ugh. Jack wasn't terrible, he was just really whiney which I cannot handle. Although, every moment I spend with Jack helps me realize more things about myself.
One- I have a lot more patience than what I thought I had.
Two- No matter what your plans are, a child can change those plans if they are in a bad mood.
(this picture is hilarious)
Three- Josh has less patience than I do. Well I guess that's not about me but I end up picking up some of the 'Patience Slack.'
Four- I never thought this was possible, but I CAN function even though I never get a full night's sleep. I envision a full night's sleep as the Holy Grail. Maybe it is something that only Jesus can give me. I mean, I realized that sleep was going to be tough to come by at the beginning, but c'mon Jack, give me a break here! (sorry, this subject is a sore one for me)

Oh well. Here are a few pics of our trip.

I have so many pictures of him trying to put his mouth on the bottle
but he couldn't get it, this one is the funniest one.

One of the happier moments of the trip
We ran into a squirrel on one of the trails in Zion's. It distracted Jack long enough to stop crying. Ah, memories.
This picture I imagine Jack flipping me off if he could
This one is a framer

Carzy Month

Hey guys,

I was just checking my stock portfolio and decided I needed to update my blog, I am following my mommy. Anyways, I finally got over the fear of crawling and I am all over the place; my favorite place to visit is the furnace vents, I like to play them like a guitar. I am also interested in the hall night light and electrical sockets, its weird, every time just before I get my hands on them to investigate, mommy and daddy come running over and tell me no; I guess there is something reeeeaaalllyy good in there so I will keep trying. I am also climbing on stuff and able to stand on my own. Today I got up in my crib and scared daddy as he came over to my crib, I was squatting down and then popped up and scared him, it was funny. Any was, I am going with daddy on his work trip to St. George and when he is done we are going to Zion National Park. I can't wait, we are going to stay in a cabin. I get to spend the whole day with mommy on Friday, I think I might get to go swimming for the first time if it is warm enough, cross your fingers. I am also really proud of my mommy, she is going to be getting her Business Degree in the next month or two, she really smart. I went to mommy's work the other day with daddy and had lunch, it was fun; here is a picture of me at the cafeteria.
Well, I will let you know how my trip went and post some pictures soon.
Peace out homies, Jack
